Lauren Russo is a career, life and business coach for creative professionals, academics and entrepreneurs, helping them increase productivity, implement effective action plans, strengthen leadership and make successful career transitions.

As an executive and life coach with The Creative Executive, Lauren combines practical coaching tools and assessments with a strengths-based approach to shift client mindset for effective, lasting transformation around a clear, strategic vision. She trains and facilitates groups around goal setting, time and project management, accountability, leadership, developing strong habits and communication.

Lauren was trained and certified by the Martha Beck Life Coaching Training Program, with 200+ training hours with Martha Beck, Ph.D. and master coaches, learning tools and approaches from positive psychology, leadership development, adult learning theory, thought-work and mind-body practices.

Prior to becoming trained as a coach, Lauren was program coordinator and associate editor of Iris Magazine, the award winning, nationally acclaimed magazine of the University of Virginia Women’s Center. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Literature from the University of Virginia and was a fellow traveler at the American Academy in Rome, Italy. She was co-founder and producer of a monthly community storytelling show in Charlottesville, Virginia, and an advocate for in-crisis survivors of sexual and domestic violence for the Sexual Assault Resource Agency in Charlottesville. She lives in Austin, Texas.

I felt really frustrated, having been in advertising for a crazy long time, thinking it was too late to change. But we figured something out. Something great. And now I’m creatively inspired again.

We tasked Jen with helping to coach our Atlanta Sales and Strategy teams on leadership, growth, and representing yourself. She had such amazing energy and kept the team engaged through the new insights and strategies she shared, as well as her interactive approach. The team walked away energized and inspired to take the next steps in driving their careers forward.
